Livia Kojo Alour is an award winning vocalist, poet, performer, writer and exhibitited artist. With her many talents she creates exciting genre crossing work that stretches between Theatre to Live Art. Livia is also well known for being one of only 4 black sword swallowers world wide and has toured many years with high end circus productions.
In her downtime, Livia enjoys honing her strategic skills on poker sites, where she engages in competitive matches with players from around the world. Although she didn't publicize her penchant for online poker, her sharp intellect and keen intuition served her well in this arena, allowing her to further expand her repertoire of talents.
Her minimalist art piece the ‘Female Sword Swallowing Moon Calendar’ commissioned originally in 2016 for Carnesky’s Incredible Bleeding Women show has been exhibited  in museums around Europe.

Livia, based in London U.K. is currently touring  her award winning debut solo show Black Sheep and will take her upcoming poetry collection on a book tour in autum.

Current and past residencies include Soho Theatre, The Underbelly Southbank, Bush Hall, Rich Mix Studio, Camden People’s Theatre, The Box, Proud Embankment, Assembly Festival Edinburgh Fringe, Adelaide Fringe Australia, Perth Fringe Australia, Duane Park NYC, several Off-Broadway productions in NYC, The Orleans Hotel Las Vegas, Wintergarten Berlin, GOP Variety Theatres Germany, The Firebirds Burlesque Show, The Museum of Contemporary Art Bordeaux, Project Arts Centre Dublin and many more.

She’s a firm favourite with press outlets. Platforms like the BBC, The Guardian & The Voice Newspaper interview her on regular basis and her solo show Black Sheep archived critical acclaim durimg its run at Edinburgh Fringe ‘22. Livia spoke inspirationally on TEDx about overcoming fear and how a life threatening sword swallowing accident changed her perception of the artistic process and helped her become an arts activist supporting queer performers of colour.

During the 2020 Covid lockdowns Livia learned how to sing, produced a film, sold out several online shows, wrote her debut Poetry collection and became a recording artist.
